About

Bringing vacant spaces
back to life.
Creating lasting value
for owners, cities, people,
and the planet.

(re)space was created with a mission to bring vacant spaces back to life and deliver value to all stakeholders—property owners, city officials, local communities, and end users. By transforming these spaces, (re)space contributes to the vibrancy of cities, fostering connections and creating opportunities that benefit everyone.

With a tailored methodology that focuses not just on the spaces themselves but on understanding the environment, the context, and the specific needs of property owners, (re)space ensures that every intervention adds significant value to vacant property and its environment.

Impact

(re)space brings vacant spaces back to life, turning them into beautiful places to work, meet, connect, and more. Each project generates tangible value for property owners, while adding vibrancy to cities, opportunities for communities, and inspiring environments for users.

By reimagining what is possible within the built environment, (re)space enhances property value while repurposing spaces, extending the life of buildings, and contributing to a more sustainable future—opening new connections and opportunities for a wide range of potential users.

History

(re)space was born from a simple observation: too many buildings stand empty, while people and businesses search for flexible, inspiring spaces. Since its creation, (re)space has partnered with property owners to transform underused sites into premium, plug-and-play work and meet solutions. What began as an idea to make better use of vacant property has grown into a movement—reshaping how we meet, work, and create value in the heart of the city.

Drawing on an expanded network of partners and blending diverse fields of expertise, (re)space manages properties and curates dynamic uses: from flexible offices to artist residencies, cultural projects, and premium event venues. Each activation is tailored to the unique character of the building and designed to maximize its value.

A multidisciplinary team of professionals brings creativity, precision, and care to every project, ensuring that each transformation enhances property value while remaining purpose-driven and impactful. Since 2010, (re)space has invested in, managed, and added value to over 50,000 m² of transitional building space across Belgium.

A multidisciplinary team of professionals.
